On a Mission to End Poverty in India

End Poverty India is a nonprofit organization on a mission to reduce poverty in India by improving the living conditions for landless or marginal agricultural farmers, traditional artisans, uneducated women, and unemployed youth. Their initiatives cover grassroots programs and development interventions in the areas of sustainable agriculture, climate change and rural development, which empower communities across 9 states in India.

Pro-bono Rebranding Project

The End Poverty India contacted us to boost their visibility, credibility and overall brand look & feel. Their goal was to improve the charity’s visibility among its target audience and to enhance the credibility among potential donors.  The priorities highlighted by the nonprofit team were:

  • To communicate their mission and programs more clearly
  • To attract pro-bono support on legal matters and other issues related to the running of the charity.
  • To attract financial support from private businesses through CSR initiatives.

We matched the nonprofit with Visual71, a design agency from Wrocław, Poland, who worked on the branding project for the charity on a pro-bono basis. The rebranding wasn’t just about visual identity, but also about the way in which End Poverty India is communicating its mission, work, and impact. Given the broad goals, the design & branding experts from Visual71 created new and improved information architecture, new user interfaces, and an improved user experience (UX) for the new website.

The Rebranding Effect

The new brand presents the charity as a mature, well-run organization which is worth investing time and money into. It speaks to the target audience as equal partners, who can support them on their worthwhile mission. The internal team is confident that the new messaging and visual identity will enable the charity to scale its impact and attract new supporters.
